There have been many evidences about global warming. One set of evidence, as popularized by Al Gore, is that global warming is a result of increased carbon dioxide levels. Another set of evidence insists the opposite. Carbon dioxide levels actually cooled the Earth's atmosphere. Al Gore's camp has been accused of falsifying evidence. But the extreme weather conditions nowadays make me think that Al Gore may be right. Until now, I really do not know what to believe. But whether global warming is true or not, it is important for us to find out if we can do something about these drastic weather changes.

I watched the documentary An Inconvenient Truth and I believed everything that was presented in it. The increasing carbon dioxide and greenhouse gases in the atmosphere have caused the Earth to become warmer. This change in the Earth's temperature has caused the extreme weather conditions that are occurring today. And there are more catastrophic events that can result from this increasing temperature. Sea levels can rise causing massive flooding. Droughts, wildfires, and heat waves can happen more frequently. We are now suffering the consequences of industrialization. Global warming is man-made. It is not a mere natural occurrence. We can do something about it by making lifestyle changes.

Global warming is definitely true. Typhoons and hurricanes are much stronger and more frequent nowadays than years before. The climate has also changed drastically with the El Nino and La Nina phenomena. Many countries experience massive flooding. If global warming is not real, what can cause these extreme weather changes that we are experiencing? According to many scientists, the Earth's temperature is rising. That is global warming. This caused our climate to change dramatically. The climate is also becoming too unpredictable. One minute it's hot and sunny, the next minute a storm is brewing. These changes are definitely caused by global warming.

Is global warming real or not? Scientists, climatologists, and politicians are on different poles regarding this matter. Years ago, there were stories that the Earth was getting colder, and that we should prepare for another Ice Age. But a few years after that, scientists said that the Earth was actually getting warmer, and that this trend can go on for years. What is definitely true is that the Earth's climate is always changing. Global warming is also true. But there is no evidence that it is caused by the increasing carbon dioxide levels. What is untrue is that global warming is man-made when no evidence can support that claim.
