If ever drug money has really been used to fund US presidential campaigns, I do not believe that both political parties have been involved. Probably one of the parties is guilty and because its dirt has been dug up by reporters, its members retaliate by making false accusations against their rivals. Even if politics is dirty, I still think that there are good ones still out there to make the country a better place.

Drug money had been definitely used by presidential candidates to fund their campaigns. Why else have many drug lords continued to escape prosecution? Their link to powerful leaders has made their transactions flow more smoothly. Those leaders, of course, get something in return. Their political campaigns, specially presidential ones, get funded to make it easier for them to spread their platform of government. This is also advantageous to the criminals that they protect. If those paid leaders get the positions they want, drug lords continue running around without getting caught.

Impossible! How can something as big as this not be noticed by the general public? Even the Mena drug scandal did nothing to destroy the names of politicians involved. Former leaders who have been accused of using drug money, such as Bill Clinton, continue to be popular. Accusations like this are the workings of political rivals, and nothing else. Even the Republicans have their share of drug controversy, so this is most likely just a dirty political tactic coming from both sides. If ever drug money has been used in a presidential campaign, it would not be as widespread a practice as some may believe.

It's true. This is an elaborate conspiracy where tracking cocaine profits have been made difficult by the National Security Council itself. Bill Clinton, whose candidacy was rumored to be financed by drug money, is yet to have the matter investigated. His response to the report makes it even more suspicious. According to investigations, the drug cartel paid the CIA a fortune in order to gain access to the air base. This makes the drug transactions so much easier. The same people dealing with the CIA are said to finance Bill Clinton's candidacy. It really makes me wonder whether Clinton is aware of the transactions or not. If not, why has he not questioned the source of money? The cocaine trade is reported to be worth billions of dollars. Money given to the CIA and to Bill Clinton is just loose change. This is not a purely democratic deal, either. The two George Bushes have been linked to drug lord Barry Seal. A well funded political campaign from either party will make you wonder now.
