Are there really glowing blue waters in Puerto Rico?
I heard from a friend that there were waters in Puerto Rico that when you swim at night, you can glow. Is this true or a hoax?

Abuse Report:
This is true. The glow is caused by dinoflagellates, which glow when disturbed (via bioluminescence). The phenomenon is not limited to Puerto Rican waters, it can be seen all over the world under the right conditions.

I have been to Puerto Rico and seen two different bioluminescent bays myself. One is in Vieques and the other is a few miles west of Guanica.
