People with long delicate fingers are born artists. Artistic talent is passed on from one generation to the next through genes. The same genes are associated with the physical appearance of a person. These genes contribute to setting the blue print for a real artist, one of which is having long tapering fingers. People are born with features that would make them adapt to their environment efficiently. Those who live in cold countries, for instance, have hairy body to make them more resistant to cold. This is the same with artists. They are born with long fingers to make them create masterpieces with much ease and efficiency.

Artists are born. Like birthmarks and moles, long delicate fingers are marks of an artist. Why do you think pianists, violinists, and painters have long tapering fingers? That's because these fingers are associated with the genes that gave them rhe artistic talent. This is also the reason there are some people who wanted to be an artist but could not. This is because some of them do not have long fingers that would make them play or perform better. They can be called creative and imaginative, but they cannot be considered real and pure artists.

Long delicate fingers have nothing to do with having an artistic soul and artistic abilities. The true mark of an artist is engraved in his or her heart. This mark is made transparent through the artist's imagination and hand play. The hands or the fingers are the artists' instruments, but they are not the essence of an artist. So no matter how short or how long the fingers of an artist are, as long as he or she has the heart and imagination for art, there's no doubt that that person is an artist. Take for instance the Spanish pianist Alicia de Larrocha. She has short fingers for a pianist, but still excels in the art of playing the piano. She is a proof that physical makeup is not what makes an artist.

Many pianists and painters I have met have long delicate fingers, fingers that do look like candles. I think that having long fingers is the mark of being a true artist. I really believe in the notion that artistic abilities are in-born and not acquired. Aside from artistic abilities, artists are also born with these long fingers. Nature designed the artists to have long tapering fingers so that that they could maximize their full potential when performing.
