I don't believe that aliens have a spoken or a written language just like our own. Because of this, I think its ridiculous to say that they could communicate with us. I guess, they communicate with each other using signals or waves. They probably have antennas like those found in ants and cockroaches, which they use to send and receive signals and messages. Because they don't have a written or a spoken language, I don't believe that they are more advanced than humans on earth. The claim that aliens are more sophisticated than humans is a big lie. Moon landings and space exploration are just a few examples of how far we've gone.

Yes. I do believe that aliens have a way to communicate with us. I think aliens won't be able to understand English, but they would be able to understand Math. English is only a global language, the real universal language is Math. One of my professors mentioned the Arecibo message in class. This message consists of binary signals and formulas. It was beamed into space, with the hope that aliens would find it and understand the message. I believe Science would not waste so much effort and money for this project if there's no strong reason to believe that Math is the universal language.

Hieroglyphic inscriptions were deciphered because of the Rosetta Stone. I believe that somewhere in the vastness of the universe is also a slab, some kind of Rosetta stone, that could serve as the key in deciphering the languages of all the creatures in this universe. This is probably the truth behind the claims that aliens communicate with selected people. These aliens have probably found this stone, that's why they're able to communicate with these people. If you are wondering why they won't communicate with all of us, well, they're probably brewing a plot that's why they don't want to make their presence known.

According to Ludwig Wittgenstein, if a lion could speak, there's no way for us to understand it. This is also true when we ask if aliens could communicate with us. They probably have their own language, but there's no way for us to understand them, or there's no way for them to understand us. Language is not something that was created just like the way the universe and its creatures were created. Language is a cultural accomplishment. It is something created through socialization. It goes without saying that before one can understand the other, he or she must understand the thoughts and emotions of that other. This is why as long as aliens don't live with us, they won't be able to communicate with us.
