Is it true that a dog's mouth is way cleaner than ours? I read some articles about it online.

Why, what were you planning to do if the answer is yes?

I believe that a dog's mouth is indeed cleaner than ours. The mouth of a dog probably contains special substance, which keeps the mouth clean even when the dog does not brush its teeth like we humans do. I just hope we also have that same special substance for better oral health. That's probably why their teeth are strong enough to chew bones.

I don't believe that a dog's mouth is cleaner than ours. How could anyone believe that when dog bites carry rabies. If their mouth is cleaner, their bites would also be safe. However, their mouth contains bacteria strong enough to cause harm to bitten humans. Aside from this, dogs always wag their tongue and lick things that could be infested with bacteria. So I don't really believe that their mouth is cleaner than ours. I guess, saying that dogs have cleaner mouth than ours is just a prank. It's just a joke that some people want to circulate for fun.

I believe that a dog's mouth is cleaner than ours. I don't think dogs suffer from tooth decay. It is probable that their saliva contains a special enzyme that keeps their mouth clean and free from bacteria. Although they put their tongue everywhere, the enzyme in the saliva would cleanse their mouth from bacteria that infest it. It would also be great if we humans also have the same enzyme like that of a dog. In that case, there is no need for us to brush our teeth regularly. We can also eat whatever we want without thinking about where the food stuff came from. After all, the enzyme would clean our mouth.

I also read articles saying that a dog's mouth is cleaner than a human's. But how could it be true when dogs lick anything. They lick their paws and any other part of their body infested with bacteria. Aside from that, they do not brush their teeth. They also eat anything if they're very hungry. Some probably eat their own waste. So how could their mouth be any cleaner than humans'? I think the content of the article you and I just read is a hoax. There's no grain of truth to that statement. I don't know why anyone would believe such a very ridiculous and improbable idea. Do they think we are very gullible to believe the claim that a dog's mouth is cleaner than human's?
